Deeper massage techniques are used to engage the underlying muscle tissue. This modality is focused on the areas of concern to allow more time to penetrate to the deeper underlying muscles. This may cause a “feel good” hurt during and/or after the massage session. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).
